Sinhasys Health provides general nutritional and ingredient information for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on this website constitutes medical, dietary, or professional health advice, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

This is especially important if you or someone in your care has a medical condition — including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, food allergies, or intolerances — or is pregnant, breastfeeding, or feeding a young child. Individual nutritional needs vary significantly based on age, health status, medications, and other factors that this website cannot account for.

Always consult a qualified doctor, dietitian, or other healthcare professional before making decisions about your diet, or a child's diet, based on information found on this website — particularly if you are managing a diagnosed health condition. If you have a suspected food allergy or intolerance, do not rely on this website as your sole source of safety information; always check the physical product packaging yourself and consult a healthcare professional.

In case of a medical emergency, including a suspected severe allergic reaction, contact emergency services immediately. Do not use this website in place of emergency care.

All nutritional and ingredient data on Sinhasys Health is compiled from publicly available information found on product packaging for products sold in Sri Lankan supermarkets. Specifically:

  • Nutrition tables, ingredient lists, and on-pack warnings are transcribed from photographs of product labels as they appear on physical, publicly purchasable products.
  • Where products include reference values (such as % NRV or daily intake percentages), we reproduce these as printed on the label.
  • General ingredient information (what an ingredient is, why it's used, and any research or regulatory context) is drawn from and referenced to public regulatory and scientific bodies, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), and the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), among others. Where we reference a specific finding or classification, we aim to note the source.
  • "% of daily limit" comparisons shown on this website use WHO/FAO-derived reference intake estimates for sugar, sodium, and saturated fat across adult and child age bands. Sri Lanka does not currently publish official national Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs), so these figures are general estimates, not official government guidance, and should be treated accordingly.

We are not the manufacturer of any product listed on this website, and we do not independently laboratory-test any product. All data reflects what was printed on the packaging at the time it was photographed.

We make reasonable efforts to transcribe label information accurately, but we cannot guarantee that the information on this website is complete, current, or error-free.

  • Manufacturers change product formulations, packaging, and nutritional content without notice. A product's actual ingredients or nutritional values may differ from what is shown here if the formulation has changed since our last update.
  • Each product entry shows the date its label was recorded. Older entries are more likely to be out of date.
  • Transcription errors are possible, particularly with small, damaged, or hard-to-photograph labels.
  • Regional or batch variations in packaging may not be reflected.

Always check the physical product packaging before consumption, particularly if you have an allergy, intolerance, or medical condition where accuracy is critical. If you notice a discrepancy between our data and a product's actual label, please let us know through our contact form.

How to read this. Each product shows the date its label was photographed and entered — formulations change, so older entries may be out of date. "% of daily recommended* limit" figures use WHO/FAO reference intakes: adult ≈2000 kcal/day; child bands are age-scaled estimates for sugar, sodium and saturated fat, not official Sri Lankan RDAs (none published). Ingredient notes are drawn from public regulatory and research sources (EFSA, FDA/GRAS, WHO, CSPI) for context, not a claim that any product is unsafe at typical serving sizes. Always check the pack. This is a personal reference project, not medical advice.
